So you have lurked that thread because I don't recall you making a reply. Anyways, how do you know I have not always found stores empty? Were you there with me? Do you know how many trips i've made to get that many joes? Do you know how many phone calls i've made? If your claims are what you say they are, then you probably don't have much competitors in your area as mine. Or buy in the amount that I buy mine.
That thread got a lot of responses you can't be surprised a lot of people saw it. No I don't know what you do in your personal time, and I don't care. Oh and certainly, I don't buy as much as you do. Look my response to you wasn't personal, it was fact. If there are people like you who clear out entire stores then its not surprising that some stores don't have product. Am I blaming you guys? No. I am merely explaining why it is that some people cannot find things. I find it surprising that you complain about not being able to find stuff despite clearing out an entire store once. The practices of some collectors do not encompass every collector. As far as my area yes I have a lot of competition. No I don't buy anywhere near as much as you, not even close. Do they? How the hell would I know? Besides I don't care if they buy anything or not. What I am saying is that last year, you were lucky in my area to even see a damn anniversary joe on shelves. It was usually 1 Snake Eyes and 1 Storm Shadow. Now it is different, you always see comic packs, some single carded figures. In recent months you had pegs that were almost full at any store. To me, that is a huge significant difference from my experience last year.

Obviously, there are collectors who beat me to it as well.
Uh yea, I took that into account.

The demand is there from the get-go playboy! Along with popularity mixed with anticipation is there too. And when stores only order a case or two, I think it's a legit complaint.
Demand by joe fans. Really where is your proof? At the time of release the only people that knew about the anniversary joes were fans that had already heard about them months prior via Hasbro's website or the conventions. That does not account for the good number of fans that the anniversary line accumulated due to fans seeing them in stores, and not knowing of them before. I have seen some adults at the stores that until seeing them in person, had no idea an anniversary line was even coming out. Look at the various joe forums, look at all the new members who sign up or have signed up since, and what they say, a good number did not know about the line til they saw it. Its a legit complaint to complain about the lack of orders but that is the retailer's fault, not Hasbro's.

"We’re big fans of our fans are interested"???!?!?!?!????
LOL WTF, where did that come from?

I spoke to a Walmart supervisor from toys department and asked what are they doing in the effort to keep the stocks afloat and readily available. I was told that they have placed 600 pcs (75 cases) on order. However, the supervisor does not have the arrival date and suggested that I call.

I'm so looking forward to this
I'll bet. And if you buy out all those cases, don't complain about not being able to find stuff playboy.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We are pleased to be able to respond.

Thank you for your inquiry into G.I. Joe figure availability. The response to the recent line of G.I. Joe figures has been amazing and we are very appreciative of the fans for their enthusiasm. Production has increased dramatically, but so has the demand. We are making more figures and will continue to increase production in the future as needed.

The Hasbro brand team hosts a Q&A session every other month on several of the G.I. Joe fan sites. We’re big fans of our fans are interested in what they have to say. If you have questions for the brand team regarding the G.I. Joe line, this is a great way to reach out to them on an ongoing basis. In addition to having a Q&A with the major fan sites, attending JoeCon and ComicCon, and hosting a collector event at Toy Fair, the GI Joe team is in continuous contact with various members of the GI Joe community to keep their pulse on what the GI Joe community wants. Our goal is the same as yours, to get great figures into the hands of our collectors!
In the official response...

Georga Bush hates Joe Collectors -Kanye West

anyway...it's clear that production is much lower for Joes than other lines...such as Hulk...which isn't selling...and Star Wars what with the Clone Wars Movie about to drop...
i have checked the same two wal-marts for two weeks at midnight...and i keep seeing the same things...no fewer than 10 cases of Clone Wars toys (stamped not to be opened till 7/26) intermingled with cases of Hulk...and Batman (not a Hasbro toy however)...all the while...not ONE single case of Joes...and while that lone Wild Bill peg warms...the aisles are literally overflowing with Batman, Hulk, Spiderman, Speedracer and classic Star Wars...which it appears no one is buying...

the reasoning behind this escapes me to no end.
one of the Wal-Mart employees even told me once that Hulk toys were selling at a rate of ONE per DAY...and yet the cases continue to arrive.

i can only hope that at some point (probably too late...and during the movie line) that we'll see Joes in such abundance.

First off, today I hit Kmart, TRU, and a target. I fond a total of 7 figures on the shelves. Al peg warmers. Yesterday two wal-marts and the same results.
It isn't getting any better.

Secondly, today's response to me going back at hasbro's BS answer. The whole situation is rather odd if you ask me.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your email.

We understand your concerns with the rising price of GI JOE products; however, the cost of goods have increased, therefore the retailers are passing that cost on to the consumer.

Consumer satisfaction is very important to us. Please be assured we have forwarded your comments regarding the availability to our management team so that they are also aware of your views.

We want to assure you that we are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will continue to enjoy our products for many years to come.

Again, thank you for contacting us, and for your comments.

hank you for your response but you realy didn't address many of the questions. specifically the pricing.
1. Why is it a comic pack is priced at 10 bucks but a single figure is priced as much as 7.99?
2. I went to two different wal-marts today and they had minimal product on the shelf. Nothing of wave 9 to be had. Not only that but wal-mart has only two rows dedicated to Joes. whereas they have tons of batman, indiana jones, hulk, etc that are just sitting there. in this day and age why can't product be supplied to the store so there is enough for everyone.
3. you replied to troop builders. the ones that you reference are great. but we are looking for the plain while boxed (and therefore more affordable) sets like you did with the Star wars stormtrooper years back.
4. overall this is a great line but if your company took a look over at www.hisstank.com you'd see a lot of disgruntled fans because of the dramatic pric increase in such a short time and lack of product. you are going to lose the customers that buy the majority of this product if supply and pricing isn't addressed.
thank you for your time.

Comic packs at Target, Wal-mart and K-mart have not had a price increase. Lets see 2 figures and more packaging = more oil, but no price increase so that oil defense for the increase of toys can stop already. It is just demand is higher on the single packs they know we will pay it so the price is increased.
