I have 4 WMs, a Target, and a TRU in my area and they are all consistently empty in the Joe dept except for an occasional Buzzer. When something new does come in its gone in about a day. |

I'm still seeing what appears to be limited quantity on the shelves. Other than the peg warmers of Scarlet and Buzzers and some comic packs. I found my local Target and Wlamart with 4-8 pegs and are completely empty.
The demand was high from the get-go Hasbro! I honestly feel that Hasbro is not making enough or some kind of communication barrier with the retailers.
| You haven't always found stores empty, as you one day bought $600+ of single packed figures and posted your haul on here.
Maybe there are fellow collectors who bought the joes at the stores that you went to, before you got there. Maybe they wanted a ton of figures too. In that respect, they got the toys they wanted. Then theres nothing to complain about. All it proves is that demand is still high. Was demand high from the get go? I think anticipation was, not so much demand, as opposed to retailers not ordering enough thinking it wouldn't sell that well. Of course it will seem like there is high demand when nothing is on shelf, but what if only 2 cases were ordered? Its been stated since last year, and its true, that some stores only ordered a small amount of cases.
In my area I have seen more product on shelves consistently than before. Last month I saw a huge increase of wave 8 on shelves, mixed with wave 7. Much easier to find than waves 5 and 6. Comic packs are almost always a given to be found, not always the newest ones, but they are a common presence in the toy aisle. Last year I would usually find 1 or 2 single carded figures on pegs, thats it.
Also Hasbro used to have more intimate q/a's with fansites but as the saying goes, "all good things come to an end".

I really don't BLAME you guys, but I feel that is one reason
| Its actually true. A good number of collectors of the anniversary line had not collected joes since their childhood, and didn't even know about the "new sculpt" figures of 2002-05, or the actual hiatus that happened back then too. One time I went to TRu and I overheard a dad tell a kid about how Snake Eyes was the one guy you could never find during his childhood, this was after he had randomly seen the v2 anniversary single carded figure on pegs while looking for something to buy his son. There are a good number of other parents I have witnessed that were surprised to see gijoe back on pegs.

Anyways, how do you know I have not always found stores empty? Were you there with me? Do you know how many trips i've made to get that many joes? Do you know how many phone calls i've made? Obviously, there are collectors who beat me to it as well. If your claims are what you say they are, then you probably don't have much competitors in your area as mine. Or buy in the amount that I buy mine.
The demand is there from the get-go playboy! Along with popularity mixed with anticipation is there too. And when stores only order a case or two, I think it's a legit complaint.
I spoke to a Walmart supervisor from toys department and asked what are they doing in the effort to keep the stocks afloat and readily available. I was told that they have placed 600 pcs (75 cases) on order. However, the supervisor does not have the arrival date and suggested that I call.
I'm so looking forward to this
