I think I will be picking up both of the new Joe sets but leaving the Iron Grenadiers set behind because I'm not a troop builder.

I like the new Deep Six figure because it's a bit reminiscent to the original ARAH version 2 figure, and it's articulated to boot. I was originally going to take a 25th Torpedo figure, and an original ARAH v1 Deep Six figure and try to make a 25th Deep Six articulated figure with a removable suit.

I'm with everyone else who is complaining about Starduster coming without any camo on his pant's, and yes that is pure laziness.

As far as Cutter is concerned I'm going to stick up for Hasbro on this one because I feel that they did a great with the parts that they already had produced to come up with a pretty decent version of this character without having to manufacture a new head or hat. Hasbro keeps mentioning that re-using parts keeps costs down, and I'm all for that whether we see it or not. My only gripe ever is that they re-use parts correctly so we don't have any more debacles like the whole Major Bludd fiasco.

I think that the new green colored Ace figure would make a great Ripcord as everyone has already mentioned. I thought that right away as well when I first saw him, especially with that neat helmet he is coming with. That had Ripcord written all over it. I guess we could use the web gear from the upcoming Cobra paratrooper figure to complete our Ripcords. I might even do a head swap with the original Ace and give him this new head that is on the green body because it looks better. I could use the spazzed out looking ace head for Ripcord on the green body and just cover him up with that new helmet to hide his crazy eyes. I think this combination would look great for Ripcord even without painting on a camo patern.

Now on to Torpedo in animated colors. I might use him to pilot the Night Specter or maybe try to make a Wet Suit figure out of him.

Last but not least whoever said that the repainted Wild Bill looks like Richard Petty is right on. Time to buy an old blue and red #43 1:18th scaled car and put him to good use...LOL

Air 3-pack:

Wild Bill: Reminds me of the Night Force version. Pretty good, but I wish those arms would get changed because they look so darn short!!!

Ace: Best look for Ace, but change the arms and it's perfect.

Skyduster: Did Hasbro lose copyrights to some names lately? Also, there's no camouflage and no black star on top of his helmet. My custom Starduster doesn't even have the chest or arms painted(other than the hands for gloves) and he looks way better than this.

This 3-pack is good but probably too expensive for me to want.

Sea 3-Pack:
Deep Six: Well what do you know? Deep Six finally gets an acceptable version released. Probably the only good one out of the three.

Torpedo: He looks more like Depth Charge from Spytroops. No way do I want this guy unless he comes dirt cheap.

Cutter: Yeah I agree the Gung-Ho head is a bad idea. I think the Crankcase head would have been a better idea.

Overall, this 3-pack seems to be the worst out of the three.

IG 3-pack:

Red IG: Great figure, truly captures the look of the original. I wouldn't mind getting one(separate from the others, of course).

Destro: At least someone can use him for custom fodder for an Overlord custom. Then again, if I got him, I could repaint over the purple and it wouldn't be a problem.

Iron Grenadier Trooper: Purple??? He's also good for custom fodder, and could be used for I don't know...a Neo-Viper or someone.

Overall, none of these 3-packs are worth buying as 3-packs, but if you buy the figures separately, it might be worth it.

I will try to get the air command set. I like the Helicopter helmets they come with, and I don't have an Ace (or Starduster, of course).

The rest I don't care for.
