I agree, but I hope that Cobra Commander is politically motivated in the movie. I'm just worried that he's going to be a generic evil villain as opposed to a charismatic leader with a valid political agenda. Or maybe I just identify with his motives too much for my own good. I really can't see any one individual raising an army without having reasonable claims to rebel and an enthusiastic personality to motivate people to actually get off their asses and do something. I mean, Hitler was a monster, but at the time he not only manipulated the fears and unrest within the german community but he also wholeheartedly believed in what he was fighting for. When I see Cobra Commander in the movie I want to think of him as a less sadistic but equally charismatic version of Hitler. I'm looking at the guy playing Cobra Commander right now and all I can think to myself is, "I'd never follow THAT guy into a revolution". I really hope his acting abilities surpass demeanor.
Thats just my opinion though. Maybe I read too much into the comics and stuff.
