So 2.5 is over? Posted: Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:44 pm Post subject: 2.5 is done. I think many of us suspected or feared this would be the case.

I find myself of mixed emotions.

On the one hand, I love the line a great deal. I had originally intended to buy only a figure or two, but ended up getting them all, especially when the prices dropped. The only flaw was the pre-posed figures, but given the vehicular nature of the line, I don't think it should have been fatal. It's a shame to think that we won't be getting anything like the DragonHawk, Vamp or IronHammer again.

On the other hand, the 8 inch line is booming, and that's going to put a big bite into my wallet. I can feel my collecting days starting to wind down in the nearish future, and having one less line to worry about will be a blessing.

++++++++++

I also find myself mildly disappointed that the Ninja Bike is getting axed. Not that we needed another SE, but he looked to have cool weapons. Any chance they can be recycled into the Paratrooper SE?

+++++++++

Have to wonder about the "Adventure Team" line. At $20 a pop, they better offer something good. We got SE and Timber for $15. Given that ASE alone was about soldier quality, that put Timber at a price equvilient of about $5. So either these figures come with Commando level accessories, or the animals had better be noticably better than Timber (which I think will be hard to do).

++++++++++

I remember pushing for Titanium Joe vehicles a few months back, and no one seemed interested. I wonder if that's changed at all.

++++++++++

Gave up 3.75 a long time ago, but I'm glad to see them get one more chance, if only to stop the bitching. I wonder what they're planning on doing with the vehicles? Has WM suddenly changed it's mind about carrying them?

awesome news

I for one am glad 2.5 is dead. I hated seeing that "replacement" every time I went to the store

And as for WM carrying the line, they have too, Corps doesnt move at all since they quit carrying Joes.

I'm really diggin' the direction S6 is taking. All of these offerings look friggin' fantastic!

Add to that the 25th Anniversary line, the hope of vehicles in the future...and maybe even Titanium vehicles...and *poof* just like that, I'm hasbros Manwhore again

Wooo Hoooo!!!!!

Trooper will be available in single pack!!! AWESOME!!!

As for 2.5" line...I feel sorry for those who supported the line, I for one tried to get behind it...but the lack of articulation didn't go well with me - or my son.

Vehicles!!!! YES!!!

Best news we heard in a long long time!!

Looks like the 3.75" Cobra Trooper has a variation...

Knife Holster on both left & right legs...

Pus mentioned, perhaps one is the 5 pack version whereas the other's the single card? Makes sense.
