I don't really like this Storm Shadow version, though. I'll keep one, but the other will likely end up getting customized. If they're going to bother making another figure of him, might as well be the 90's Ninja Force version.
The Commanders I get will likely end up becomming customs, too. Really hope they plan on making his 80's battle armor some day soon! |

I definately see this as a detriment to the line right now. They are just exhausting a few guys. I am probably just saying this because I am so anxious for wave 2 and 3! |

I just don't want to see this end up like it was back in the 80's. Please Hasbro, no neon color crap from the '90s on. And I hope Hasbro prevent this flood of the 25th Anniv line.
Back to the topic at hand, this pack looks amazingly bad-ass! Got to get two set for me.
Btw, what characters are in this new legions pack set? Is it the same as the 1st wave Cobra pack set?

whether there are repaints in this set is hardly a reasonable argumement, the problem is the repaints they did choose to include. IMO, it makes sense to have CC, and the set would have been great if it was CC and 4 Cobra troops. but SS doesn't make any sense, and if they were going to include a second repainted individual character (which is just unneccesary), they should have thrown in, maybe, a blue Baroness. that way you have a battlefield CC with his Intelligence officer and 3 troops, that is a more logical "Legion of Cobra" set than including SS IMO. I will give the one of each to my kids I guess, and I'll keep the CC but that SS does nothing for me

In fact, I have doubts the neon guys will even make it into the line. There is so much more characters to go through before those guys.

A 25th Annie fig of a lame 4 yr-old design. I knew Hasbro would do it's best at ruining our 25th Anniversary!
I'm pretty excited about the 'Stinger Driver' and the 'Cobra-theme-playing Cobra logo', though. Those 2 items kick-A! Hopefully all the rest of 'em will kick-A on Ebay! |

I understand what you are saying but having 4 SS and 4 CCs before we ever see Bludd is insane IMHO. So you are right in WHO they are including as a repaint matters much more than just repaints. Imagine if this set was topped off with Bludd instead of SS. Would be a bajillion times better.
You think we could customize that SS into Kamakura? |
