Is not liking ROC really that much of a crime? I admit, I wanted a ARAH movie or something along those lines. Who growing up in the 80's loving Joe wouldn't? I also knew going into it it wasn't that. That is why I waited to rent if for free on my subscription plan. I also admit, it was mildly amusing, but I have no need to ever watch it again. But, I would not say it was a good representation of GI Joe, and I also understand why long term fans of GI Joe would not like it. What I don't understand is why it is such a crime that long term fans may have a bad opinion of it. Can anyone HONESTLY say it was not disappointing or did not fall short of their expectations?

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, even if they did reach them.

I dont want them to ignore by any means what happened before as a movie. I want a better script for one and maybe new cast members. Some like Channing can work decently under good writers, so I think he should get a 2nd chance...maybe, there are others that would do a more dependable job, better. They should revise the look a bit though, and dial it back to more modern warfare esque, hell go in the direction of POC and I'd be happy.

Unfounded? He was a paid consultant who had no real impact over the film whatsoever save for a single line from Snake Eyes that he asked to be cut. After this Hama defended a bad movie and went so far as to insult the "Sexually frustrated fan boys" and "Social retards" (His words) for bashing the film. So either Hama is a dick who enjoys bad movies thus proving he's an overrated untalented asshole or he's a sell out puppet for hasbro. Your choice.

i want the 80's nod, even if they keep the ROC going...(duke and baroness married *barf!) by using the outfits. think about how great that would be.
and here's an idea, COBRA introduces some high-tech virus/worm/bug to the WORLD, and it's these old vehicles are the only thing to save us. how awesome would that be. bring out the hovercraft... Gung-ho will say something funny like 'ain't she a whale." stuff like that, just the nod... and kill the accelerator-suite. cough-skystriker-cough-cameo-cough see what i did there? I wasnt a big fan of the black body armor but hey, that's just me. I would prefer my SE to stand out a bit more. |
