Personally, I'm not going to read any of the spoilers, but I'm not going to be someone griping about the changes. I'm going to gripe about Sienna Miller being in it, but that's pretty much it.
And as you can tell, I like Sommers' films....well, not "Deep Rising". And the fact there's a bunch of actors I DO like that are in it makes it waaaayyy better. 
As ToyFare once said of "Masters of the Universe", it takes the badass and the goofy. I personally think a guy dressed as a giant cobra is silly, but you have a lot of quirky characters in this series. And the world needs more quirks. 
So am I excited? Yeah. Especially since Ray Park and Christopher Eccleston appear maskless at some point.

Honestly, anyone here had to sit through the atrocity that was "White Chicks"? Think about it, him being in this movie prevents another crapfest like that from being made.

Don't mean to be too negative here, but I'm based on the script, special effects are a pretty big part of the film - possibly the ONLY part of the film worth watching.
And I think the logical conclusion is that the addition of Wayans actually increases the likelyhood of a crapfest... | |
