I know everyone who's seen the movie feels about it but what about Hasbro. Does Hasbro feel it did well enough to continue? I know they're making a sequel so they have to be somewhat please with the outcome of the movie, but how confident do they feel about it?
Also, in the same context, how about the RoC toyline? Again, I know how most people feel about them but is Hasbro pleased with the slaes? Thank.

Don't know. Only Hasbro knows for sure.
I think we'll have a better idea come Toyfare and seeing what they have to unveil and then at Joecon. We already know what's coming the first of the year with the RoC toyline, so if they unveil stuff that indicates they're in it for the long haul then we'll know.

Seriously your question is hard to answer because we don't know two important elemets. What was Hasbro's intial expectations and did the movie and related products meet or exceed though expectations?
Assuming of course your right about the sequel, it's obvious they were pleased enough with the results to be down with a second project.

Paramount and Hasbro both have said quite openly that they are beginning pre-production on a sequel. That doesn't mean much except that they are making plans for a sequel - and it means that all the cast that are under contract will remain under contract unless something changes. This is called good business. As has been said before on this site, The Fantastic 4 did about the same business and got a sequel.
We will know more in a little while, but the studios have both said that it looks possible.

I know that you seem to have a problem with Flint X, because Flint X gave you an infraction for some thread where Flint X didn't like your post, so Flint X deleted it, but why didn't you just message Flint X to try to solve things?

A sequel is planned, 2011-2012 release so far - nothing is written in stone, things can change - all of the major actors (including "storm shadow") are signed on for 3 movies.

Until ROC 2 production photos are leaked onto the internet, I am going to assume that ROC won't see a sequel for several years. If there is a ROC 2, it will: A.) Have a lower budget than ROC. B.) Have a different production team (IE... Fire Sommers, Bonaventura, etc...) C.) Perhaps be a Direct-To-DVD release D.) All of the above |
