So we can be the "World's Policemen" until it's time to actually show it / advertise it, and then we don't want to say or show so b/c we might "offend" someone? Give me a break.
Wanna really "offend" them? Hang up next time the dial 911 for "please help us American comrade!".
My blood is boiling over this now if you guys can't tell.............:(:(:( |

I mean, it's not like it's a foreboding sign about the movie it's just a title to be printed on various merchandise. I mean look at when the the title for the Transformers movie came out, everybody started thinking that since they used the same font as the old title they would try to be very loyal to G1.
You can only dissect something so far before your imagination starts filling in the blanks.

You realize how bad that would make America look if they were to make a movie like that in this day in age? I think the producers care more about the image of the nation than making a few fanboys happy. I think you just need to stay as far away from this movie as possible as nothing is making you happy. |

BUT how many of us did NOT like the transition from the theme songs (cue music) "A real american hero..." then changed to "international hero..."
I believe that was the DIC series, right?
Case and point they really just want to cash in on other countries.

Yeah, they're probably trying to cash in, but also making a movie about an American special ops group defending the world only makes America look like it's flaunting it's power. Since America is already know as the bully of the world and getting into other countries business, it just wouldn't look good. This way, it's countries from around the world helping out. |

The rest of the world already hates us, so who give's a hoot then? If they already don't like us, then I really don't give a damn who it pisses off then.
It's called believing in something and having a little pride in something you care about that represents your country, THAT is what I am getting at.
I guess I keep forgetting that they are some younger folks who are on here also that don't understand some of these things yet either. Like they say, what a shame that youth is wasted on the young (and I'm not that old either). Although I don't remember when I was kid with ARAH around the first time in '82 feeling any different than I do now.
It's either that or some people here also believe in such liberal views as it being ok to want to kill someone for showing a cartoon picture of someone else's prophet too huh? :(
Eric - proud flag waving patriot who BELIEVES in "A Real AMERICAN Hero" |
