if it had a more resolute look to it, I definitely think that would work...not to mention the gap between the haters and supporters would probably close dramatically

So I had this theory in my head that what if Stephen Sommers decide to make the sequel and give the Joes original colors of their uniforms. I mean, it would make sense right ? since the Joes were caught two to three times in the movie 'cuz they looked like bad guys. What do you think ?

I agree. It could definitely work too.

I really don't understand why people think that the ARAH outfits would look weird. Most of them were based on real millitary dress. Look at the original Duke. He's just wearing what an Army sargent would have been wearing in 1982. Gung Ho (who is someone that is often held up as the epitome of silly outfits) would look right at home in a Viet nam movie.
yeah, there are some weird outfits later in the series, but pretty much anyone from the first four or five series of figure would translate just fine to the big screen. That being said, I didn't mind the costumes in RoC, so I don't really care if they change them for the sequal. |

I would love to see ARAH/Resolute uniforms in the sequel. In fact, the outfits are my least favorite part of ROC. ARAH/Resolute looking outfits would work. My thoughts for each characters:
Joes: Hawk - v2 outfit with bomber jacket and green pants would work very well, it's not that unrealistic of an outfit and Dennis Quaid would look great in it (like his Firefighters jacket in Frequency) Duke and Scarlett - v1 outfit is not that unrealistic and can easily be done in live action Breaker - v1 outfit is a bit bland but could easily work in live action Snake Eyes - take away the lips and his outfit is perfect - ROC did justic to SE look in my opinion Heavy Duty - v1 - 1991 outfit is fairly realistic and can easily be done in live action Cobra: Cobra Commander - movie look was atrocius, seriously how is that look better from the 82-83 Battle Helmet and Hooded versions? Again, his original look could work in live action - a grey mask helmet is a lot more mysterious and cool looking than a clearish plastic mask to me Destro - Okay, he needed more red, less blue, and more black in his movie outfit. As much as I like the v1 outfit, the exposed chest should probably be lessen a bit - although now that I look at the 25th v1 figure, it is not that bad Baroness - great job with her ROC outfit, all it needs is a red Cobra logo - although it seems she might be a Joe in future live action movies Storm Shadow - good job with the ROC outfit, although it seemed to be too constraining for a ninja. His v1 or v2 outfits could work in live action - although we probably won't be seeing him anytime soon Vipers - I can't stand their ROC outfits, although it worked for the ROC story, I still would prefer ARAH outfits. The v1 ARAH outfit is not that unrealistic for live action I'm a big visual person and I like seeing characters in their iconic looks, which can be modernized without changing all the colors to black.

I don't want to see every character in their ARAH outfits- just the ones that would work well in real life. I think the 1983 Duke uniform would translate well in real life. Gung Ho is another story! But it could be done right if it's not done exactly like the the 1983 version. I want to see less body-armor type of costumes.

I liked the outfits from ROC but i also wouldnt mind seeing some of them in there ARAH outfits as well but i doubt he would bring those outfits into the movie because i read an article where he talked about why he didnt want the ARAH outfits

If Stephen S. doesn't direct the 2nd film that means that he did get fired from working on part 2.
