Very true.
And anyone that doesn't think so isn't looking at the big picture.

With a production budget of $175 million and $150 million more in marketing and distribution expenses on the line, "G.I. Joe" needs the biggest possible crowds to turn a profit.
It is no secret that I did not like the film. That said I am in way trying to tear it down in this thread. All I am doing is discussing the facts as I see them. (OK I did compare it to Street Fighter and Ang Lee's Hulk, but I am not being boorish and saying things like "It Sucks HA!' and nonsense like that)

Discussions based on one article that nobody can produce..... can you produce more than one source to corroborate that marketing cost...cause if you can do that then I will apologize, if you cannot can you admit that you are going on rumor?
As far as Rambo is concerned you said that you arbitrarily gave it a price point and multiplied it with whatever you felt like....... with logic like that I could increase your price point or reduce it to manipulate it to fall into whatever number I want cant I? But lets breakdown the numbers you gave us: $15.00 Guns price point. 1,968,714 Units sold via the site, here is the link for reference: Movie Rambo - DVD Sales - The Numbers so if you were to sell 1,968,714 DVD's at 15.00 we would get a total of: $29,530,710.00. It's late so unless I am completely failing at math - you are very off in your numbers. So please explain it to me using simple math how you are coming up with $90,000,000.00 million doalls? I will gladly say you are correct as long as you agree to do the same. The problem is you are always toting logic........but its not logical to assume numbers that are based on nothing! I'm dumbfounded how you would miss the main difference between what I said and think your ridiculous counter was identical. that really is a stupid argument you made. sorry, buddy, it is. I don't even remember my old post anymore. wasn't it 6,000,000 dvd's sold I projected for ROC, which at $15 apiece equals $90,000,000. I don't know and I'm too lazy to look it up. |
