Well, we care because the numbers tell us how the movie was received by the public. Sure the numbers are not great but they do show that the movie had a following of a decent amount of people.
This thread shows us that the movie made it's money back with a slight profit. That is good for us, since a new movie coming out in the future will mean more Toys and a better chance for us to see ARAH stuff re-released. That is a good enough reason for us to know how the movie did. Smiles and hugs all around Samantha |

Since you're a member of a GI Joe message board in which you have over 4000 posts, it's safe to assume that somewhere along the line you actually liked GI Joe. As such, you care because the success or failure of the franchise depends on it. A successful movie and merchandise equals retailers that are more interested in product therefore giving said product greater shelf space. And in turn Hasbro has more opportunity to create characters, vehicles and playsets outside the best sellers. Or to put it simply, it's the shelf space/stock difference between the 25th Anniversary and ROC. So yeah, we should care.

Jesus, is this the new debate thread now?
03Mach1, you said "the success or failure of the franchise depends upon it." Headman disagreed saying- "I don't think Hasbro would scrap a brand that's been a mainstay since the 60's." 03mach1, What are you now arguing? Why are you denying what you posted? Why is Headman "blind"? |
