you guys just dont get it. there are some things that CAN and DO exist in our world. the cartoons may have pushed the limits. but this movie went over the top.
nanomites to control people are in developement? highly doubt that. that would violate human rights.. they have a problem with okaying stem cell research, but they'll allow nanomites? not likely. the cartoons feel more realistic than this movie did... this movie was just out of control science fiction/fantasy and lets not talk about how they destroyed characters.. and im not talking about the way characters look.. im talking about who they are. duke is just a recruit? since when ive always know him to be i guess, 2nd in command? under hawk. baroness is dukes long lost love? these arent the characters i know, they just have their names. hate to say it.. this just isnt gi joe at all Almost none of the things mentioned in my list exist today, and the ones that kind of do, didn't exist in the early 80's. I don't know what you are smoking, but the movie was more grounded in reality than the cartoon by far. |

The MASS Device would be pushing way past the boundries of current technology (where the A-Suits and Reactive Armor doesn't), let alone the technology of the 80s.

I saw a convoy of trucks get hijacked, drove into the desert (with some cute little blond in a cowboy hat hiding in the back of one) and disappeared into a giant snake temple that rose out of the ground.

the movie was more grounded then the cartoon. I mean Mass device... that was season uno man. I think you might be thinking of the dolls in the 60s

sci-fi? yes. completely sci-fi? not even close. there were quite a bit of plausible military elements to it that grounded it in the real world.
