Does anyone know if Byung-Hun Lee has a martial arts background? I haven't seen a topic on this, but could of just missed it. I know he's supposedly some big actor in Korea, but haven't heard much else. This would REALLY suck if he has no background at all.

That was bad ass. Not to mention, he looks like Tommy from his younger years(the flashback scenes in the old marvel books).

Thanks for the clip. Unfortunately its hard to really gauge anything from that alone, but it looks like it's at least something. At the very least I'm sure he has at least SOME exposure in martial arts, hell he's ASIAN!! J/K.
Training for a movie can do a lot tho regardless of what he knows. Look at Ewan Mcgregor and Hayden Christiansen. I wouldn't call them great, but they went from never picking up a sword before Star Wars to IMO a half-way decent job in the light saber duels. In fact, i thought the Ray Park/Ewan Mcgregor duel in Phantom Menace was the only watchable part in the movie, i really enjoyed the scene. I'd expect the same in G.I. Joe, and i think we'll get it. Heres a little something funny........ Last edited by Sysiss; 02-07-2008 at 02:38 AM.. |

The impression I get from the Korean Soldier I work with is that he's done some great action movies, but he's known more as a gun-toting Chow Yun Fat type than as the Jet Li type. But as has been said, with training for the movie, I'm sure he'll be amazing: take the example of Chow Yun Fat again - he looked cool in Crouching Tiger.
