Yeah exaclty, its like they MEANT to go out and destroy it and dismiss everything cause a lot of the supporters want it that way. They hate the 80's sunbow cartoons and the original gi joe movie so badly they don't want anything to do with it/look like it for any reason. Some really strange reason to want it to evolve into what they have portrayed in ROC as the no holds barred future of all things Joe. That is why I hate so much, I don't want to be land locked with Resolute shit being ROC from now on and justified to fit into ROC instead of having it's own take and chance to expand on it's own outside the realm of ROC's vision. If they treat it as it's own universe great, but given we have 3 more sequals or whatever that means anything non-ROC will be on indefinite hold menaing nothing new ever again unless it's ROC branded (or the inevitable soon to be announcd Animated ROC cartoon like Star Wars clone wars that took over all things Star Wars).
That steams me up pretty bad knowing the creative pace will be at a crawl for a long time to come (especially in the Viper cores). I just hope if it does fail miserabley they really look at the mistakes and find a new and better way to upgrade GI JOE if the past cartoons and comics are so atricous that the ROC supporters would throw as much a fit as we h8ers do with the ROC vision (hint hint call Titmouse..they got it right with Resolute!)....

Just got back from seeing the worst movie of the year. They don't only destroy G.I.Joe, but they destroy movies in general. I was prepared to hate it, but secretly hoped it would be so bad that it was really fun... much like Transformers. Sadly, this movie is just really really bad. Not only will this not get green lit for a second or even third film, but they are going to have to go back to the drawing board like Marvel had to do with The Hulk. They spent 170 million on this trash and they will not get that back. NObody, not even die hard Joe fans like myself, will buy the DVD and the figures are going to be warming the pegs until Christmas when you will be able to buy them for $1.99, because the movie does not do a good job of romancing the weaponry and the vehicles. The only that will be selling from the ROC line will be the Resolute figures mascarading as ROC figures. Expect to see a Resolute cartoon fast tracked and more figures fast tracked to market. Hasbro is going to loose their shirts on this one. Good thing Transformers 2 made a crap load of money... Hasbro is gonna need it.

Because if you did, you'd notice that "classic" product always comes back between movies to some extent or another. |

Yall are looking at the rating from critics which are useless! did you expect better from them? Not to mention they were all told they couldnt see it until it was in theaters, what better way to say "well screw you to!". Go look at the civilian ratings, it is clocking in at 62% 317 positive and 193 negative which is about right considering all audiences. Critic ratings on Rotten Tomatoes is as good as trash in a smelly dumpster.
