More than two hours sadly.
Factor in the cost of tickets, the gas you used up driving there, the time spent driving to and from the theatre and it becomes a much bigger no-win scenario lol. |

For you, change you don't like doesn't matter to you. For him (and for me), it's a bit sad and there's a sense of loss. The "childhood" statement has never meant that our childhoods were literally changed or our memory was affected, those are word others have put in our mouths to make the position seem dumb. What it means is that we feel a sense of loss when we see Hasbro destroying a lot what we loved about GI Joe. Which to Troynos's point about IDW and Resolute, we don't really feel that they've has destroyed what we loved about GI Joe with those two interpretations like we do with RoC. And again, that's a perfectly legitimate stance.

It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. It was definitely flawed, but Im blessed with the ability to be easily amused. Some things can't be fixed with sequel, some can. At this point, having seen the movie, I would pay to see a cleaned-up sequel.
With that being said, if I were 8 years old again I would have thought this to be the best movie ever. Hell, I thought the MOTU movie was awesome when I was that age. Sure, its crap now, but Ill never forget how I felt about it back then. I found this movie to be more accessible and marketable that TF, and Im sure that was the point. So GIJoe isnt going anywhere, even if its tainted or diluted. Things I liked? -Snake Eyes wearing different stuff. Had to laugh and wondered if they would make figures of them all. Normal gear, the cool black army jacket with the Arashikage patch, white artic gear, Im almost positive he was wearing a skater-ish hoodie in the PITT while hanging out, and he actually wore the PP trenchcoat. -JGL. The CC backstory is crap, but I found myself loving the Doctor only due to his performance. He can't help the piss poor origin but man...that kid pulled off the voice, the mannerisms, everything. He was PERFECT, and I can only hope they just keep his origin quiet in a sequel and dress him up properly and this guy will have it made. Interesting that he had 3 voices...the lower 'breathing mask' voice, the high 'classic' voice when he took it off, and the battle armor voice. Well, thats what I really liked. I dont have to tell you what I didn't like. This movie is going to make big bucks and sell a shitton of toys, so you know there will be a sequel, just pray they listen and fix it. They will hook the newbs with this one, now its time to pay the original fanbase off. |
