There are many reasons I am unhappy with this movie, that is just one of them.

Lets try this again.
Ms. Miller has made it abundantly clear where she stands. She gave, according to yojoe.com "the best performance" in the film. I never stated that she could not act, simply that she was "bored" and did not give her best effort. She has stated that she wishes to burn the costume. (although from what I hear, Tatum and wayans would like the accelerator suits thrown in a trash compactor as well). I digress. She seems to have little interest in continuing the character, for any number of reasons and that is her prerogative. She has been a veritable "box of chocolates" when it comes to interviews, never knowing when she is going to drop a publicity bomb. My point is there are other actresses. She's been the "sqeaky wheel" in this production. Let her go. She'll be happier, the producers will have fewer headaches. As to not knowing what the script writers would do If there were a sequel: you are right, I don't. But any screenwriter would be a fool to leave out the female lead, especially given her relationship to the protagonist and antagonists in the first film. Oh, and as to the sequel. Again nothing confirmed. But with positive buzz going into the weekend, and no real competition in the genre, the movie will do fine and should make back it's budget especially once you add in the DVD sales. All the rumor mill is shooting to begin next summer. If there is no sequel I will personally send you my sdcc destro 2 pack. There you have it in writing. In summary: 1) she's not interested, why keep her. 2) Although talented she can be a headache 3) Release her and make everyone happy 4) No official word on a sequel, but if there isn't you get some goodies Moving right along you do make the same mistakes here and I will point that out to you. As far as the costume comment..... many of today's actors that have had to wear an uncomfortable suit to prosthetics have complaints. Hell even Brando complained about having to put the gauze in his mouth and that was his own idea so that seems unfair to want to replace her based on that, but whatever you are allowed your own opinion. As far as the producers having a headache.......HUH? you really need to stop presuming or assuming things. Not one producer has gone on record complaining about her so why start an Internet rumor? You are a grown man so why do it? As far as the screenwriters as I agree that it would be foolish to leave her out they can easily toss in another female, maybe her sister? maybe ladyjaye who the hell knows? Its fiction they can change, create, add, subtract, multiple any role they want. If the movie is a box office hit I highly doubt that a sequel would not move forward if Stephen Sommers said I am going to drop the Baroness. Thinking so would be foolish and fan-boy wishing. The fact is they can do whatever they want. Channing Tatum can opt out of the film and they replace Duke with Flint? ANYTHING GOES! As far as competition District 9 is getting a lot of good buzz so I would not count them out. And The Time Travelers Wife as well.......... both coming out the following week? Both are in the same genre as GI JOE. As far as the rumor mill with filming....... Justice League was all but casted and that was shelved...........again the point is anything can happen. Can a sequel be made? Its probable that it will happen but its possible that it does not! So to counter your summary, here goes: 1) She has not stated that she would not return only a few gripes from an actress.....who cares. You are not the righteous police let her bitch about whatever! 2) Being a headache does not mean you are dropped from a project. good lord Daniel Day Lewis or Edward Norton would never get any work. 3) Releasing her would only appear to make you happy. The producers have not said any negative thing about her.....Just you saying they are not happy. 4) I have three sets so you keep yours! |

gee, a pretty actress doesn't care wholeheartedly love a character she plays in a movie that is pretty much a one dimensional character from a cartoon and comic book that was marketed towards prepubescent boys.
99% of the time hot chicks don't care about the junk us nerds like.

Time Traveller's Wife is a "Romantic Drama" with Sci-Fi elements. I dunno about you, but that doesn't scream "Saturday afternoon fun." Plus, it'll be competing directly with both G.I. Joe (which the kids will probably like) and District 9 (which most of the "geeky" adults who've already seen G.I. Joe will probably go see). Honestly, much like the toy line, it's probably going to be kids that make or break RoC. If they're clamoring to go see it again and again, it'll have more "staying power." |

Agreed.
on a lighter note it was pointed out to me that this is the only movie she is in which does not involve her getting naked at some point. depending on who you are or what you are into this one can go into the plus or minus column.

For me that's a no problem at all. She's smoking hot to me no matter whether clothing is involved or not.

Don't know what the movie is about other than all of the websites discussing it are focusing on the shocking full nudity of sienna miller. And there are pictures to prove it. which is funny that no one has seen a poster, really knows what the movie is about, but there are like 200 pictures of nakedness on the interwebz. almost like Megan Fox with Jennifer's Body.

I have no plans to go see this movie in the theater BUT if I were to see it, I guarantee the only thing that would get me to go would be the scenes I've seen with the Baroness. Her heart may not be in the role but she fits the role perfectly. Maybe folks should wait to see how she does in the movie before they judge whether or not she did a half assed job in the role.
