The reviews are starting to trickle in, and so far Rotten Tomatoes has GI Joe showing 4 out of 4 positive reviews so far.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Movie Reviews, Pictures - Rotten Tomatoes Not bad!! Granted it's WAY early to draw any conclusions. However, I think this movie is going to actually be better than Transformers 2. Will it make as much money? Almost certainly not. But I'm willing to bet GI Joe will easily beat TF2's awful 20% rating on the tomatometer. Initially I was VERY skeptical of this Joe movie. But I'm actually starting to really look forward to it now. I'm still skeptical about this. The part of me want's to avoid this like the plague but the other part want's too see it simply cause I've waited years for a live action Joe movie. I think I'll wait and see what the reaction in the Joe community is before I decide whether or not to shell out $9 for it though.

The "kinda neat" positive reviews are decent and hopeful. People seem to have found it pretty enjoyable so far, better than expected and they could just as easily gone the other way.
Considering this film seems to eptomize the typical mass market, cheesy, explosion & one liner driven fluff(based on toys after all!) that film geeks, including myself, love to pounce on... I'm pretty amazed at what I've heard so far. This movie, more than most others lately, has had not just many Joe fans, but film fans in general spitting venom at it, so it's nice to see something positive. I expect the reviews to even out more, but I plan on enjoying it for what it is. I've never had huge expectations. It will be one of the best toy commercials I've ever seen for sure. |

my local dvd club are selling regular dvd's for around $100 but when it comes to blu ray a friend of mine works in the cineplex an she told me they are selling those for more than $100 take my word for it. but I will find out a price sometime tomorrow an will let y'all know.
games here sell for around $375 to 495 an when it comes to console bundles like the Resident Evil 5 edition or the Halo 3 edition those sold for over $4000 Last edited by Immortal_Joker; 08-01-2009 at 12:25 AM.. |
