You're not wrong... I'l never forget how pissed I was as a kid about Ninja Scarlet and Ninja Zartan (though I'd have loved the Zartan figure were it not for the gimmick, one of the rare times that the godawful colors weren't too out of place.)

I honestly like Zartan being a ninja because it fits perfectly with the Snake Eye and Storm Shadow storyline in the Marvel comics. Scarlett is more of a stretch, but sorta makes sense as well because of her relationship with Snake Eyesz
