Yes thats right one of the top Movies/Comic review sites on the web has posted a VERY positive review of Rise of Cobra, an who reviewed it? Harry Knowles HIMSELF!!
Here is an excerpt: "I was really stunned watching the film. If you’re not at least feeling this movie working after the first action sequence – there’s probably little hope for you, but to me – getting to tour JOE HQ, getting to try out new JOE tech, a crazy awesome trial run in Paris that goes huge big, then Pre-Cobra Command assault. The last act follows action in multiple locales, but while it does require that you pay attention, I really enjoyed it. But ya know what? It IS a G.I. JOE movie and it was pretty damn cool! What makes it cool is that these are still men and women operating amazing technology that WE created ( moderately fictitiously) and that isn’t GIVEN by Aliens, Future Beings, etc. That’s what makes it cool, that and the notion that we work with a Global coalition of cool folks that are capable of crazy awesome with this stuff." you can read the full review here "Harry has seen G.I. JOE - and is looking forward to seeing it again! -- Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news." and it contains MEGA spoilers so you have been WARNED. |

There's no way it can be good. He is obviously a plant. That's right, folks. Harry Knowles is a plant. You heard it here first.

I couldn't care less if Harry Knowles says that he loves the movie, or hates it. He's always seemed to me like a a nice guy, but he's one of the biggest shills in the movie industry, and barely even tries to hide that fact, so I never take anything he writes even remotely seriously. :b

This is becoming a trend really, with all the positive feedback. Haven't seen one truely negative review, yet. It all seems to be if you go in not expecting to be thrilled, or realize its just purely a fun movie, you will have won hell of a good time.

See I am as hardcore a Star Trek fan as I am Joe (Perhaps more). I went into that from the same set of circumstances I am with this movie. I read the script, I have seen all the clips and trailers, and while Star Trek made me giddy and expecting the best Star Trek movie since The Undiscovered Country, sadly ROC gives me gas and makes me expect the worst adaptation since Ang Lee's Hulk.
