I read the story is taking place 10 years in the future, about 2019. With the hovercrafts & pulse rifles, is this true?

Are the airplanes futuristic, or based on current jets? Is Storm Shadow in the movie actually a good guy infiltrating Cobra to destroy his uncle's murderer?

I would say "Military Futuristic" not car futuristic.

The Storm Shadow Snake Eyes Story is what you will all expect it to be with a movie twist.
