I'm a bit disappointed by that retort...

If the movie sucks its not like its gonna "kill" everything from the past. Your old comic books will still rock, and so will your new ones for that matter. Your 25th and vintage Joes will still be awesome, the Tank wont dissapear and hopefully we'll get more figures.
Look..Ghost Rider was retarded, Ben Affleck absolutely murdered Matt Murdock, we STILL havent seen a "spot on" Punisher movie and it took The Hulk 2 movies to get it right.....When I saw those movies I didnt run home and burn my comics and toss my figures and statues. If the movie genuinely sucks, if you personally dont like it what is the worst thing thats gonna happen?? Do you think more 25th style figures are riding on this? The Joe name has been around for a long time, whatever changes and new versions are presented..so be it. Nothing is going to single handedly destroy your personal collection or the place it holds in your heart. Not even a movie. |

Why?
Couple things: Bob Kane's Batman wasn't as dark and gritty as he is nowadays, that was more of Frank Millers influence. So a lighter, funner, brighter Batman movie may have been what Kane always envisioned. It's entirely possible that Kane could have hated Batman Begins and Dark Knight. He could hate Bale as Batman. We don't know.

Don't look at it thru ARAH-tinted glasses. Let it stand on it's own and view it on it's own. This idea that it's going to somehow cheapen your memories is absurd.

It just seems silly that everyone supporting the movie is basically jumping on the Hama wagon that those of us with no interest or those folks out there "hating" are "stuck in 1985."
Again, Resolute was a re-imagination of the series and it was really awesome. It had great promo material, there was huge anticipation, and even some figures that preceded the show. I just haven't seen any concrete evidence that this movie is worth supporting/hailing already. I've watched the trailers that are available, read several reviews from script readers, I've seen the toys. It just doesn't seem appropriate to start blanket hating the "haters." It really just makes me less interested in a film in which I was not initially interested. |

Sorry, that doesn't count, as Stan Lee is a joke.

I state my opinion and all of the sudden I was called a liar and that I am wrong. Bwaaa? |

sorry, it was all I had. clearly enjoying Batman and Robin puts in question Bob Kane's mental capacity at the time, but that wouldn't change that he actually liked it. |
