I find it kind of nice on the toys, but I can understand peoples' complaints of it being a bit unrealistic.

I don't really care one way or the other, I guess I'm just neutral on the look of it at this point.

i'm a big fan of the reactive armor figures, but the blue camo might take a bit to get used to.
i'm sure they'll be released with different camo patterns and color schemes by the time all is said and done. i don't think there's a company out there that loves their repaints as much as hasbro.

The color of the camo pattern is nothing compared to the look of the Viper's. The camo is only mildly screwed up.

bought Shipwreck today, and honestly i am more impressed with this new line's accessories and attention to detail. they'll be great for customizing. Shipwreck's flippers will go great on the new we suit. only complaint is that cover girl's face makes her look like cover gump.

I remember when I was in jr. high, army fatigues and army jackets was really popular in ny. I remember people wearing many solid colors and many different paterned and colored camo. I remember hating the blue/grey/white camo. I retract my previous statement about not hating them, yes I do hate the blue camo, now that I think about it.

Look, all the rest of you guys can swear up and down the old Joes were "just as unrealistic" and that's fine if you want to think that. There is some truth to it.
But the thing is, these new ROC figures (some of them) and the vintage RAH figures both strive toward a level of realism in their basic aesthetic and attention to detail. That's not a point I'll argue.
The thing that sets them apart now and forever is the vintage line took a much more broad and thurough range of good and/or interesting ideas chalk full of chutzpah (for lack of a better word) and a pplied them with great artistic skill and care. The new figures are great, I think... they just seem less thought through, less cared about in their design. The sculpts are good and there are some decent ideas, but as a whole it comes off as somewhat flat. The only people who will get 100% for their money with these are customizers... who can make whatever they want from them, and as a customizer I'm mighty thankful for the infusion of new kinds of parts.
As for Bazooka... give me a Bazooka over a Link Talbot or ground beef face CC any day. What is so unrealistic about a guy who likes to wear his favorite Jersey instead of the regular top for his fatigues? He's part of an unconventional and very special team that obviously does not adhere to the general military conventions and never really fights on a conventional battlefield... they are afforded many privileges that regular soldiers don't get, like wearing whatever the hell they each feel is appropriate. I also picture Bazooka as a big lovable doofus, so he thinks wearing that damn old lucky Jersey is appropriate.
