Don't fret we'll have plenty of chances to grab over priced ROC merchandise at a cheaper price… TRUST ME! The recent Target clearance buffet confirms that EVERY single G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary/modern era item has made it to clearance; first wave of 5-packs, exclusive vehicles, UBP’s, etc. and now everything else! The Pit, Rhino and Nightraven will be NOOOOO different!
NOTE: I predict a sale within 60 days to help move the ROC merchandise. It baffles me that Hasbro… or is it retailers that are inflating values such as the Rhino, Nightraven and some $74.99 Duke doll? They're setting themselves up for failure when you consider the lack of a supporting audience. C’mon $49.99 for a vehicle that’s NOT in the movie! I can't see lil' Richie Rich turning down a basket of Transformers whom which have a cartoon, for one ROC toy? I think those that manage the G.I. Joe franchise are taking shots in the dark and approaching the toyline with the same unsuccessful approach as they have been over the last several years. It appears to me that the Hasbro G.I. Joe team is leaning too much on their own self-proclaimed ROC hype then they have been on their own ability to create and produce. How much influence do you think ‘movie confirmation’ was on our beloved 25th celebration? Before then G.I. Joe had very little if any presence at retailers. Conclusion: GREAT product potential, POOR system development/adaptation! DISCLAIMER: I look forward to and will be purchasing the ROC toyline. Along with the 26th Brigade including the elusive WildWeasel, I will also be dragging G.I. Eddie to the midnight premiere of ‘G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra’ while dressed in my previously purchased 'back alley' Accelerator suit (special thanks to ws_toys)! |

like hell you will...I AM NOT GOING TO SEE THIS MOVIE!...lol...
this issue really doesn't bother me too much as i have very, very VERY little interest in 99% of RoC toys... i hope kids dig it cause they will not sell it on the nostalgic power of the 25th line...good luck Hasbro... |

I think a lot of the ROC stuff will end up being clearanced big time BUT I also predict some of it will end up being very rare like the Indiana Jones "Temple of Doom" wave. And for the same reasons.

Everything on clearance? Let's take a break from our nerd rage and take a reality pill. The crap that goes on clearance will be the crap nobody is willing to pay full price for! All the reall cool shit people will actually want is gonna go in some repackers listing on ebay. |
