I think all movies, of this type, should be created (storywise) with a trilogy in mind. The first movie should be able to stand on it's own but be a natural lead in for the other movies.
X-Men is a bad example of a trilogy, each movie basically stands on it's own. Optimus Prime died in RotF? Thanks for spoiling it. It's not even the end of the opening weekend, could have at least waited for the opening weekend to be over with. Goddamn... That's as bad as saying Major Bludd got killed the night after Resolute premiered.

Nooooooo.....he was referring to the part in ROTF where Omega Surpreme falls on Optimus on accident and kills him. Stop sheltering everyone, let the truth out!

Kind of a douche thing to do calling people out because they have negative thoughts on the movie. Everyones entitled to his/her own opinion and those who voice that opinion shouldn't be chastised for doing so. If someone was blindly optimistic about this movie or overtly negative, I don't think anyone deserves to be called out.
Cept for Tig Poppa and his repacking. |

Actually, in stark contrast to the OP's stated desire to have me fill this whole thread with hate, I'm 100% excited about the possibility of a trilogy. Very excited. I can't emphasize enough how excited I am that there could be three Joe movies. It's a chance to do something better, and whether or not RoC fails or is a blockbuster, the opportunity to take lessons learned from RoC and make an even better second and third movie is a win for any Joe fan. LoL. Nice work. Although, I think it's worth noting that I got mentioned first. Where's my crown and scepter?!

as has been said, it isn't that the trilogy is definite, it is that Paramount has set up the contracts to ensure the major players are available in case the first is a success and there are sequels -- not that the sequels are set in stone. and considering the article only focuses on the actors, there is no indication in it whether Sommers has a three-picture deal or not. but if there is a sequel, which means the movie is a success, you can be certain he'll be back. I'd say anything else is wishful thinking, but considering who in the thread is wishing for it, in this case it is just delusional thinking. |
