On A&E last night, I saw the Super Bowl spot for Rise of Cobra. I still laugh when Destro says "What did you say your unit was called?" then Hawk, "I didn't."

He should have said "Mr. Jumbo" and they could have made it a comedy

I saw it quite a few times this week myself, usually during the Tonight Show.

I just saw the one where the Baroness compliments a lady's shoes while storming an office building. It would have been even funnier if she had a little dog in a purse and said "nice shoes, those are hot".

Yeah I've seen the trailer consistently during the Tonight Show with Conan. I think it's a sign of good faith from Paramount. When movie studios show commercials on TV this far out from release, it means they believe in the potential success of the movie. You can tell when a movie studio doesn't care about the movie when they only buy airtime 1 week before release.
Another sign of commitment from Paramount is if they allow movie reviewers to view the movie prior to opening weekend... if not... <insert stinker alert>. |
