I like to say from everything I've seen it see that the film makers are paying attention to future military concepts. I personally am looking forward to see the Joe's with some advanced tech. I also think the director was a good choose for the film. He's directed a good many film I liked like minus Van Helsing.

Heck Van Helsing was not that bad. I think we need a positive thread for the movie. I plan to see it and I know I will enjoy most of it.

I know the accelerator suits are getting slammed but here is a tidbit of reality. Foxnews had a story online about suits like these made by a japanese company that enables paralized people to walk. Accelerator suits may well become a instrument of the military, maybe in ten years. I like the look of the movie. I have been a fan since 1983 and quite frankly the old school uniforms wouldnt work on the big screen. I look forward to this movie and plan on seeing it a couple times. I am not saying I will like every aspect (no movie since the original Star Wars fits that bill) but as long as I walk out of the movie and see a smile on my two sons faces then as far as I am concerned it was a great movie. This isnt our eras Joes, its our childrens and this time we get to come along for the ride.

I am waiting until I am walking out of the theater to make a real solid judgment of the film but I feel that this may be a short thread

I'm very excited for it. I won't have huge, enormous hopes for it, which I find is best when I'm really looking forward to a movie, lol.
I'm sure I'll enjoy it. |

heres my thoughts because i dont know what happened to the other thread i posted it in
(cough cough) OMG CharI is going to talk about the movie. I usually avoid the movie threads because of all the bickering. Now i havent read back through this one in particular, but I figured this was as good as any to air my thoughts. I don't get all the "OMFG!" "OMG THIS IS GONNA SUCK BRO!" It's a 42 second clip, thats aimed at the young adults and teens that MTV aims for, That doesnt mean the whole movie is going to be like that. That means there going to get the MTV Males thinking Damn Sienna Miller is hot, and get thier butts in the seats. I don't always trust trailers and clips. Heck, I thought M Night's "Lady in the water" was supposed to be a horror movie. and if youve seen it, yeah, its definately isn't. I guess my opinion is, the clips their airing are aiming at the younger crowd which doesnt mean the rest of the movie is going to have the same feel. I have faith there going to give something good to the fans from the 80's that have supported them over the years. and I for one am happy if some clips has hopes of getting alot of butts into the theatre, because in turn, the line will live longer, and hopefully we will get more toys and such out of it. ok. im done. you can continue.

Still jazzed. Not crazy about the suits but it won't kill a G.i.Joe movie for me. There's way too much good in everything I've seen (from toys to video games to movie) to be down on Joe.

There was a ton of crying that the 07' Transformers movie would kill the franchise, and it revitalized it instead. ROC will do the same thing and help grow the brand; there are just a lot of people going through growing pains.

If the movie doesn't do good...do you think they will do a whole new movie, and three different lines of toys for a bunch of geezers that want to see exactly what's been on the market more than 20 years ago? Wake up. As Gungho-Joe said: "This isnt our eras Joes, its our childrens and this time we get to come along for the ride. " I just want to go, and see explosions, hot chicks, more explosions, some ninja action, neat weapons, more hot chics and explosions, and have a good time. So far, from what we seen, it has all that. And, since i really doubt that dialogs and plot are going to be the strong point (c'mon, it's GI Joe), then it's got to have even more action. Enough for me. I couldn't care less to explain others why i collect these toys, i don't want to see the exact same stuff that WE ALREADY HAVE on the shelves, i did liked the movies of this guy, and oh for sure, none i raping my childhood memories (most stupid phrase if i ever heard one), and believe me, i'm not a Hasbro zombie.
