gijoe.com still says july 11th. (not that i expect many and accurate updates, but thats "officially" what they say. so............
this is just a theory...but its sound... the launchdate change news came from BBTS from what i understand. i also dont think any other source has reported it. maybe BBTS called hasbro and said something to the effect of... -were sitting on all of this ROC mdse. waiting for launch. the 11th is a saturday, so we cant effectively ship until monday. people are going to hit their local bricks and mortars all on the same day, earlier than we can provide mdse., thusly, there is the potential that we may lose orders.- so maybe hasbro is letting them charge and ship on the 6th, so that product will arrive at peoples homes around the 11th. (i would also expect hasbro to give this specific permission ONLY when similarly requested.) |

Because yeah...otherwise E-tailers might have a real hard time selling a lot of this stuff, as I'm betting it will be plentiful on shelves. |

i didnt see your post, however, i figured that my "theory" was not mental pioneering.
Henceforth, let it be known that Jmacq1 stated a very similar thought to mine prior to my post! i also feel that the pegs will be clogged. not only because these toys, as a whole, arent appealing to most joe fans, but also due to the usual suspects...economy, disinterest in toys by kids...blah blah blah. but you know, im kind of hoping theres an abundance. quite frankly, im tired of chasing figs and would like to be able to get the few that i do want, rather easily. I mentioned a similar theory one the original thread talking about the "moved up" release date. That Hasbro was allowing E-tailers to start selling on the 6th, with product to arrive on/around the 11th. So far I don't believe we've gotten official news from anyone besides BBTS about the figures becoming available earlier than the 11th.

The pegs will be clogged cause Hasbro will be doing this as a major push. Once the movie comes out, I'd expect/hope that the toys start flowing off the shelves.

Hasbro have a fair idea these will be in wide circulation before the 11th. In fact, they may be hoping that there will be an early rush on these from people who think they're getting them 'early' , in turn leading retailers to order more.
Okay, that's kind of contrived, but i think at best demand will spike pretty early in the line. |
