This thread's still talking about a movie right? Let's try to leave name calling (Even semi-civil name calling) out of it.
I agree that anyone going into this movie with huge expectations will probably be let down. (That's how I survived the Phantom Menace I wasn't expecting the original Star Wars) I'm sure it'll be a fun movie, and if it's like the scenes with the military guys from Transformers, then I for one will be happy |

If Cobra Commander, Destro, and Zartan look cool in the trailers, people will go see it.

That's kinda the point I was trying to make. I liken movies to a roller coaster ride. You sit down, buckle up, and go along for the ride. When you get off you say one of two things..."that was fun, let's do it again" or "let's move on to the next one"! I think the majority of movie goers out there would agree. I put myself in this category. We're not film critics and have no "professional" aspirations of ever being one. Therefore, we never waste too much time worrying about what went wrong in the film, or what they could have done better. We either love it or we don't. I think we all hope the movie does well! It's just that some of us take our movies more seriously than others...and that's cool!! Let's just try and remember that before we bash each other for something as trivial as liking or not liking ANYTHING.
So, here's to hoping the movie is a 3G, topsy turvy, inside out helluva ride! |

It's not about high expectations, it's about them following the origin as closely as possible...
That's what most of us Joe fans are cranky about... All in all, I believe that the movie will be a huge success - it's a dream come true for the most of us, I strongly believe that we will leave the theater on the 7th of August, 2009 very happy... As for the youth casting, I believe there might be a few characters being portrayed in their earlier days as part of flashback footage...that might explain the young people getting casted. |
