I really don't see the point of this article other than to feed the people that just want to talk bad about a film they haven't seen.

then everyone who did like it is gonna say "oh you're not allowed to have an opinion even now that you have seen it." what is the deal with this "you can't form an opinion on something you haven't seen" crap. I haven't seen hell but I can tell you right now, based on what I know... itz never gonna be on my list of places to reside for eternity.

So so far from reviews we have:
2 positive 1 so-so (not good movie but still enjoyable) 1 negative (the DIGG not based on the movie but the novelization) I have to ask if the reviewer actually read the novel: "The convoy gets wiped out, but luckily the G.I. JOE squad shows up — an international team of super-experts who don't officially exist, but appear as if by magic when they're needed" This part makes me question it. In the novel it's explained quite clearly how the Joe team "happens" to appear on the scene. Hawk makes a request of McCullen to let his people guard the convoy. McCullen, of course, wants it hijacked so he says no because he knows his team can take the escort. Hawk doesn't trust McCullen so sends the Joes in as back-up. All that is explained very clearly in the novel. So that "as if by magic" just doesn't make sense.

oh c'mon. and after the movie is released and people still don't like it...
then everyone who did like it is gonna say "oh you're not allowed to have an opinion even now that you have seen it." what is the deal with this "you can't form an opinion on something you haven't seen" crap. I haven't seen hell but I can tell you right now, based on what I know... itz never gonna be on my list of places to reside for eternity. Oh if it does turn out to be bad, that's one thing. For example if I liked it and you didn't I would not think any less of your opinion. I'm just saying this whole "its going to be bad" stuff with this film seems a little ridiculous to me at times. I mean, here we are on a Joe board discussing it and that's fine, but here's some dude that is going out of his way to tell people his opinion. That is what seems off. And on top of it, yeah he says the plot is a little convoluted and it probably is, but that doesn't mean the film itself won't have some level of entertainment. I really didn't care much for the plot of Transformers 2, but the action sequences were entertaining for me. So there was something positive there, not exactly making it an entirely bad movie. Remember, this guy is forming his opinion based on the novel, so that's only knowing what's going to happen, not how it comes off screen. And let's look at the passage he posts about Cover Girl, he's not criticizing the film, he's criticizing the writer of the film's adaption because what he's complaining about is how the writer describes a scene that will just be more or less about a character's physical action on the screen. Not the same thing. And if you got a problem with that, meet me under Willis Tower at sundown, lol.

I said after I read the novel that the writing was pretty bad and amateurish. What that has to do with the actual movie I don't know, since the two are unconnected. I used the novel to get a sense of the characters and the plot. It accomplished it's goal and I'm more convinced that this will make a good Joe movie.
