Yeah I picked a bunch on clearance. They are good quality toys. It's too bad, kids are mostly watching these mindless shows on Disney channel. The original Joe series had good lessons both in the episode plot and in the PSAs at the end of each episode. Well developed characters with distinct relationships.

Totally! And that’s why - the characters! Make them interesting or quirky or relatable or badass or a total dick; so long as there’s a plausible background and it’s well-written, it will find an audience that’s devoted. Like ARAH did in the 80s-90s. Even so, you can do that within the confines of a 2 hour movie to an extent. Look at Predator. That movie is a shining example of simplicity done well. No extraneous plot, no nauseating high-speed action sequences, no unnecessary CGI. It’s a damn-near perfect action film, and something GI Joe could easily have been slipped into.

This isn't true. The show was a signed deal for a set amount of episodes, and they announced that when the show launched. The show coming to an end has nothing to do with toy sales, it was a 78 episode agreement from day one. This was confirmed a long time ago.

I think a live action series would be great! However if they made a cartoon show like renegades or resolute, I think that would do great as well.

I don't mind an under a $100 million theatrical release like The Kingdom, 13 Hours or Black Hawk Down. With Netflix, I'd rather see an animated series. Renegades Season 2 even.
Be it film or cartoon, I don't really give a f*ck at this point. Slap G.I. Joe on it and I'll watch it. Hell, give it to Bay and his love for American military, make it earn billions and see neverending toylines and tv shows after it.

Sure, idgaf about canon. Not everything has to be how Hama wrote it. Toys > everything else anyway.

Whatever they do with the films, series or whatever. As long as the toys come pouring in, I'm good.

The official canon is pretty convoluted when you get down to it anyway. Snake Eyes is connected to effing everybody.

G.I. Joe as a series on Netflix is ok so we get to see all out favorite characters. I rather like the original G.I. Joe logo the way it first debut in 1982.
I think the story set in the 80s with all the Joes, Cobra, Dreadnoks to look true to the 80s toy counterparts.
