What if a live action GI Joe series jumped to Netflix?

I’d like to see the original Marvel run set in the 80s, boiled down to the story arcs that matter, neatened up and dumping any silly one off stories. I’d like to see the Joes portrayed more realistically modern or near future military but am willing to give Cobra a wide sci fi birth. I’d love to see a series with the heart of an old 80s series like The A-Team but without the cornball antics, combined with the serious ness of modern storytelling like the Jason Borne films ( at least the early ones) with a maturity of a movie like Greenzone or Tears of the Sun.

If done well it could be amazing.

I think an animated Netflix mini series might be a good start. Probably cheaper than a “the Unit” type tv show. I think either a cartoon or live action would be better than a movie at this point. Agree with the comments on this board. Another movie will keep rehashing the arashikage story line. A show can do a lot more.
