uhm.. Hate to break it to you, but the ARAH Modern Era was the unscheduled programming stop. The movie has always been the main focus of Hasbro's plans. Regardless of what had happened with the 25th anniversary line and it's longevity, the movie toys would have been coming out. Now probably some of 'em wouldn't have been there, and some of the repaints in the movie line may not have been there, but again we don't know for sure. Maybe they always planned on the RoC Airborne and the Modern Era one we got was the repaint because they knew they could sell a Modern Era Airborne. The main reason, most likely, why there was so many repaints and reused parts in the Modern Era was because they didn't have that many figures/parts to work from becuase the Modern Era was never intended to be as big as it ended up being. And Hasbro increased the size/length of it because they knew they had a good market to play into (the collectors and nostalgia-buffs) and get some Joe stuff on the shelves prior to the movie, and hopefully they'd be able to get some of us into the movie line. And hey, guess what, it worked.

I have already told you that won't work so why bother? I do not wish to understand as you see it as I already formulated my own opinion and I disagree with it? Can we just not agree to disgareeand go back to our opinions and quit picking on each other? The post is derailed enough as it is.

I'm not the one that's going around saying that if someone likes the movie and accepts it as Joe, that they're just simple-mindedly bending over and taking it from Hasbro. There are Sigma Six fans, and to them, that is G.I. Joe. The same with Valor vs Venom, Spytroops and yes, even Extreme. Just because it's not YOUR Joe, doesn't make it wrong, doesn't make it right, doesn't make it anything. It's someone's G.I. Joe. And saying that "the only real Joe is RAH" is narrow minded, sorry but it's true. Just because you think it's crap doesn't mean it is. Hell, there are people that absolutely love the Dreadnoks. I can't stand 'em and think they were a waste of figure spots that could have gone to my favorites. But that doesn't mean I'm going to throw a big ol' BF just because Dreadnoks were made. I recognize that there are all kinds of people out there with all kind of tastes. And sometimes, hell most of the time, it doesn't match up with mine. And that's fine. Hell Joe's got a pretty convoluted mythos anyways. Do you follow the cartoon or do you follow the comic book? Which one is the real Joe? Me, the only "real" Joe is the official stuff on the back of the filecards.

Me, the only "real" Joe is the official stuff on the back of the filecards. In reference, I LOVE the Dreadnoks! Always did, always will. I turned out to be the only Hispanic Hard Rock nut in 50 miles of my home, and I think it had to do with Cold Slither. LOL. But regardless. I want more Dreadnoks and more of allot of things from GI Joe. But respect how you don't tyrade and say the Dreadnoks are not "real" because they aren't in "Sgt. Savage" because that's "You're favorite." In the end, I agree. To me, The "real" GI Joe is on the file cards, BUT, I think deep down, the "Real" GI Joe, is what we played in our back yards and bed rooms with ALL of our Transformers, He-Mans, and Thunder Cats. I think GI Joe stormed Castle Grey Skull a dozen time a month, and I never lost focus, and said this isn't accurate with the Cartoon or Comic Book. |

I already have a spot in my Cobra army for the Turtle-Vipers.
