There was something that just kind of really hit me the other day when I was playing around with my 25th Anniversary Joe figures...these figures are...pretty damn cheap!
Now hear me out, I am anxiously awaiting the Rise of Cobra movie figures, despite designs that aren't to similar to their animated counterparts, because well...it's a G.I. Joe movie for fuck sakes! ...the overall quality of these figures are really annoying...I mean I wish they had the sturdiness of the Indiana Jones or Star Wars figures to be honest...I think it is the metal pins in the legs is what does it..I wish they just had regular ball jointed legs...and the guns are flimsy and dont stay in their rubbery hands :( This kinda pisses me off a bit and although I await the Rise of Cobra movie figures I'm worried they'll just be of the same quality... Now I'm probably going to get my balls busted but you know what, I'd love it if there was 3 3/4 figures BUT they also had more sturdy 6-inch detailed movie figures, that would be cool. And uhhh...well that's it, just had to get this off of my chest. :-) |

My hooded single CC, after "playing with it" for awhile, legs weren't so sturdy. Same with 5 pack Gung Ho, but latter ones were more sturdy.

I've noticed a lot depends on the figure, some are rock solid, some are not. The stock hasbro weapons are 86% crap usually though.

Well to be honest what I've had to do is super glue some figures into certain positions so that they are more sturdy...now obviously I've got to play around awhile to find a pose that is just right that I'm happy with...however like I said in the op I just wish the quality was much better so I wouldnt' have to go the super glue route :( |

Oh yeah man, it would be amazing if the weapons/guns/pistols/knives etc. actually FIT in their hands and stay in there dammit! What really burns my ass is when they sculpt a hand and don't include a 'trigger' finger ...the figure looks soooo stupid just kind of holding the gun w/out a trigger finger on there (something I think the upcoming Duke Rise of Cobra figure has from some pics I've seen....bah!) |
