I keep hoping the movie will be good but I have a bad feeling that it will make the worst episodes of the DIC GIJoe toon look like a masterpiece.

Yeah, I do get the feeling that the production is not on schedule. Casting decisions can sometimes come very late in the game. This isn't uncommon. However, I wonder about everything else: designs, construction of sets, etc. I mean... we only just heard about John Eaves joining the crew one week ago? Maybe he's been working for some time, but one does get the feeling that the whole thing is rushed.

i hear ya gentleman. the writers strike effects all of hollywood in some way. i have two friends in la that were just laid off, one did sets and another an editor. i'm worried that the outer reaches of the writers strike is going to put a dent in this movie, what terrible timing.

I guess I'm in between on this guy. I think he has good intentions, but there's some points where I think he's clearly blowing smoke. I think one of the worst things about the success of the Transformers movie is that fans bitched and bitched and then when it came out, they and everyone else LOVED IT. I think that gave the producers the sense of "See, we were right, we don't need to listen to the fans". Don't get me wrong, I am REALLY excited and optimistic for this and when the first image shows up I'll call everyone I know and tell them about it! The best part is that he confirmed Zartan will be in the movie!!!

Hopefully you're right and they are on schedule.

Yawn....I'm going to take a nap. You guys wake me when the trailer comes out. Then all of this unnecessary bitching can stop and we can have concrete complaints or praise.

Excuse me but I prefer my complaints to be made of moon rock and my praise is made out of cocoanuts.
