(and yes, I do get a nomination for the best run-on sentence of the year! Thank you to all the little people...)
But think about it really, guys. At this point, despite what you think you know about this movie (and top level blockbusters in general, it would seem). You really don't know... much of anything at all. Hollywood could care less about trying to make a movie to please you, because you are impossible to please. Whatever they would try to do to please you would just make all those other people from which they made all that take on those other blockbusters you seem to hate so much, simply take their cash and go elsewhere. Face it, you've already made up your mind so what does it really matter anyway? |

My point is that if we pass judgement on this movie before we have the facts and before it is made, then we will just look silly if (and I hope when) it comes out much better and different than the nightmare scenario some of us have envisioned from the very limited information we have. Like the posting above, perhaps this "kid" will not be CC after all. I expect that the best is yet to come and we need to stop clamoring after every rumor and just be patient. Perhaps we will all be pleasantly surprised who ends up being cast for some of the juicier roles. Bigger talent requires more negotiation and timing between other roles, so maybe some phatties are yet to come. And maybe, just maybe, Stuart Beattle's script is way better that what we've been leaked thus far. So let's just withhold judgement until we have some solid info and better knowledge of the final script. And let's just bask in the joy of knowing there will be a Joe movie, and new merchandise, and the kind of attention that SW and TF have had recently. And save the critique for when we really know a lot more about it. |

Oh Christ! It's a forum and you WILL get people voicing their opinions. Him playing CC seems off and the Wayans role is ridiculous. It is fine to be optimistic if you can but I for one am not impressed with the roles being landed and am not afraid to say so.
On another note, I am hoping that they can find at least some skilled actors suitable for a military role. So far we have two who are primarily in comedy...an omen of a joke of a movie? Hopefully not. |

He's right. Damage control from Hasbro/Paramount? ...or maybe he isn't playing CC after all.

The kid from 3rd rock playing cobra commander is alot less stupid to me then -a black man playing a white guy whose suppose to have red hair, or -a korean playing a charector whose suppose to be japanese. Whats next? George Lopez as Duke? Maybe we could get that other guy from that white girls movie to play Lady Jay too!

I have to agree with CC totally. What's wrong with Chris Evans as Duke? Why not have a youthful beginning to this franchise, especially if we're hoping for sequels? I would prefer Evans to "Jack from Lost" because, I'm just plain tired of Matthew Fox already and the other guy kinda looks a bit "meathead" and doesn't have any credentials to speak of compared to the other guys. They can make Evans as young or old as they want with makeup and camera angles and such, so I think he would be just fine. And it certainly doesn't hurt him that he has some blockbuster experience already either.
