I stayed through the credits and looked at the cast list--some interesting names. Clutch, Grunt, and then new guys named "Havoc" and "Stoop." Any idea who these guys actually were in the movie?

Stoop was the friend of Roadblock's that stops them on the street... but I had the same question as you about Havoc. And I'd love to know where/who Clutch & Grunt were too...

Pretty sure those four were the other four who fast roped down into the Pakistan base. The bearded one being Clutch, who also drove the getaway vehicle.

I am pretty sure I caught Duke saying something about Clutch driving up in the getaway vehicle. It may sound like a bit much, but I think it would have been cool if the "known" characters would have referred to the misc. Joes by name when talking to them. To me, giving a nod to fans saying "We know you fans are watching, so we are going to through some names out to ya." I am going to go see it a few more times, so I'll see what I can catch.

A bunch of people keep saying that Major Bludd is in the prison break scene. Well, I just watched it for the 2nd time last night and looked really hard to try to see him, looking at all the guards, doctors, background, etc. and did not see anyone or thing even remotely resembling anything to do with him. The only thing I could come up with was when CC shot Walter Goggins' character while he was running out of the prison, it looks like he shot him right in the eye, maybe meaning, he could eventually have a patch over that eye. The thing about that is that he's dead now so there's no way he could "become" Major Bludd beacuse there is no way he would be able to survive a close up shot directly through his eye, into his skull and brain, let alone a huge explosion that filled the entire building he was in while he was laying there.
Does anyone know where this, so called, Major Bludd reference is or is it what I said it might be?

I think HAVOK was pres. Zartan's lead secret service guy, I think he called him Zandar though.

****SPOILER****
Mistake already? HAVOC was a place holder name and never corrected - Matt Gerald who apparently played HAVOC was non other than Zandar in the movie. Clutch and Grunt were both on the plane with the Joes, not sure why they really had to throw those names out there to kill off the characters considering all the other Joes had no names (I would have been really happy if they were just plain old green shirts, after all, that's what they portrayed more than anything).....pretty week directing and writing on this subject considering they could have really emphasized great characters from all of them. Chu really missed the boat in this aspect - the battle scene was incredible and all they had to do is play name association. There is plenty of stuff that I noticed but will leave for another day. I am not here to bash the movie, but, I feel real Joe fans will feel a little robbed on this one.....so close but yet so far away.....not the ARAH mythos that brought GIJOE to popularity and to the forefront in the first place. Just another directors opinion of a possible cool storyline in the Joe Verse, lets make a few changes while were at it and be happy about it. As amazing and historic as some of our beloved characters were, please reboot now. I know I sound critical but in all honesty I give Chu 10 on 10 for attempting to bring Joe to the big screen - but give 0 on 10 for rushing and ending major storylines that were drawn out for years for the most of us and once again not appropriately using characters we have grown to love. |

I feel like grunt and clutch probably had larger roles in the original cut, but their lines got cut to put in more tatum footage.
Why hire Ryan Hansen to basically play an extra?
