I've watched the trailer at least 20 times now and I am still pleased with how everything looks. This is going to be a cool movie. I can't wait to see it in theaters.

Not bad at all.
For those who aren't familiar with the actor playing Destro (Christopher Eccleston), check out "Shallow Grave (with Ewan McGregor) or "28 Days Later" (another Danny Boyle film). He's pretty devious and messed up in Shallow Grave. I think he'll be great the way the film is setting up Destro. A very sinister, cunning villain who shouldn't be underestimated. Kind of like a Bond villain - a criminally insane genius. I also like how they're not rushing into the Joe mythos too much. It appears the creators are taking their time developing the story, so we will probably see more familiar JOE/COBRA conflicts and characters in a sequel (assuming the first film does well). I'm not getting my hopes up, but this movie may actually turn out pretty cool in the end. I remember thinking X-MEN was gonna suck when I saw the trailers and costumes, but I was pleasantly surprised when I left the theater smiling and excited for another (X2 is still the best, IMO).

Two words - kick ass!
Yeah it's not the 80's G.I. Joe, but I'm still looking forward to seeing this movie. Good choice for the background music too (Hollywood Undead). The only thing I'm still scratching my head at, along with the naysayers, is the power armor suits. If Sommers wanted to shoot stuff like that he should have simply included B.A.T.s in the movie and had a sequence where they square off against the Joes. I'm from the mindset that COBRA is always the one that employs the really radical technology. But other then that, yeah I really liked the preview and I can't wait till August. |

It's corny cartoon Joe on steroids! As far as GI Joe it the suckiest suck that ever sucked< but as far as watchability, it's got Action, explosions, and chicks in leather with machine guns. I am so there!

I dont know if I'm a big fan of the actor playing Destro(dont feel like butchering his last name lol). I really disliked him as the villian in Gone In 60 Seconds, one of my least favorite movie antagonists in flicks I've seen. Hopefully another dose of him for an hour and a half or two hours will change that. Other than that, I am looking forward to seeing this movie now.
The info that was leaked from nuke the fridge(i believe thats who it was) really had me worried especially the eiffel tower comments, how it was covered in green ooze or whatever. But the explosion or nano mites that someone brought up earlier didnt look all that bad. I think it really helped having such low expectations and hopes for this. |

Yup, I agree. They should have written all the first "classic" JOES into the script. But we'll see what they're up to. If the first movie does good we may see some of these guys in the sequels.
