If we assume most of the characters joined at age 18 (or in Flint's case, 21 or 22, post college) how old would you expect them to be?
I know this was a big discussion in a "who would you cast thread" but someone who is 26-30 and joined the military at 18, or even at 21, is fairly experienced. My best friend from high school went into B.U.D.S a few years ago (he didn't finish, but that's beside the point). He was 26 or 27 at the time and he was definitely one of the oldest guys there. He was considered a geezer. Point is, an age range of 26-30 is dead on for most of the characters.

They had better change Storm Shadow to korean in the lore. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense, but I'm going to be pissed as hell if they pull that "Memoirs of a Geisha" BS. Maybe it's because I have a lot of Japanese family, but I'm not so friggin ignorant that I can't tell asian people apart.
I don't know much about Korea; they don't even have 'ninja' type stuff over there do they? So far this is the only casting that has bothered me and I KNOW it'll bother me on screen too. Storm Shadow is one of the coolest characters. They could at least get his ethnicity right. Has anybody here seen Casshern? It's probably the greatest flick to ever come out of Japan. The lead actor out of that, Yusuke Iseya, would have been awesome for the role! What do you guys think? |

I just hope this guy knows some martial arts. He's got a lot of acting experience, but when you have a character who is a ninja, you probably won't care. Chuck Norris isn't an oscar-winning actor but he can dish out a whole lot of kickass and that's all that really matters. Honestly, gonna have to see this guy in action before I judge. Scarlett looks great, though. I'm pretty nervous about the script and directing, but at least most of the casting so far looks good. |

Kosugi was the most authentic, since he is a ninja, and Hatsumi Masaaki would be too old. |

Byung-hun Lee the actor for storm shadow is vary talented. He can act sing do martial arts play the piano and much more and I've also seen him talk Japanese so I don't think he will be Korean in the movie but if he was it wouldn't bother me.
