Anyone else view the movie toys as a needed break from collecting?

I don't see myself buying anymore than a movie SE, small and/or large scale. Other than that, def a welcome break. Collecting hadn't been so bad up until the multitude of last minute releases this fall.

after finding wave 12 last weekend...i consider myself kind of on break now.
no more full waves of figs to get....just one or two per wave and a vehicle here and there.
movie figs are certainly a break.

I just want that mutated cobra commander we've been hearing so much about(removable mask! removable mask!) and one of the playsets.

But if we have 14 waves next year before the movie. Yikes!

I'm almost glad for a break. I'm kinda glad that Wave 5 vehicles have been put on hold. I've sort of bottlenecked on collecting right now...

They're coming faster than I can collect!

And I'm not buying ANY movie crap unless it fits seamlessly with the 25th look and feel, and is basically a classic character design.

I will actually welcome the break as long as they produce at least 1 or 2 classic characters per wave then I will be 100% happy to take a year off!

My decision to forego the movie toys was based on seeing photos of the actors in costume and the couple of movie figures that have shown up in photos online. I don't detest the movie outfits like some; I just feel like most of the main characters have been done better in the Modern line.

A good point was made earlier about characters who show up in the Movie line but have yet to show up in the Modern line. I'd definitely be tempted by Cover Girl, as it would be the first figure of hers to have blonde hair like she did in the early cartoons. Other characters would have to be reasonably close to how I picture them. I'm curious to see if they'll release a Destro with removeable mask or exchangeable heads - I'm a big Doctor Who fan, so it would be neat having "the Ninth Doctor" in that scale. ;-)

Whatever the case, a figure here and a figure there is still a huge break from buying EVERYTHING, or mostly everything, as in my case. I'm not going to be ordering every wave from BBTS like I do now.

I love the thrill of the hunt and view it as a let down but it will more then likely be nice. I am hoping we get little things here and there during the movie release like DarthBrett said

Between the Joe movie and the Transformers movie, I should get a nice break... Only Star Wars to bleed me dry... and the occasional ebay Micronauts...
