At least GI Joe won't look and feel like an MTV video with tons of flashy, over stylized and unnecessary cuts and editing to help mask a director's inabilities to shoot a decent film. |

There are no awesome giant robot special effects for joe. That being said hasbro expects it to be huge or they wouldn't be spending so much money to build it up. Another concern is How can you have alot of guns and explosions and still get a pg movie? The only thing i see to solve this is to have alot of the action sequences revolve around snake eyes battling storm shadow. |

Spider-Man and its sequels were PG-13, Batman Begins and Superman Returns were PG-13, and Transformers was PG-13.
Sommers' G.I. Joe will be PG-13. Bank on it. |

If we as fans go into this movie expecting a perfect film, we will be disappointed, guaranteed!! Because your perfect and my perfect are different! I'm just excited to see some of my favorite characters...hell, childhood friends...in flesh and blood! Fact is, this movie could go 100 different ways because of the dynamic cast of characters and numerous plot possibilities. Let's just see where they decide to take it and THEN decide whether to love or hate it!!!! |

It has been stated that hi-tech equip. will be used in this film - state-of-the-art CGI Hiss Tanks rolling around will def. catch my attention when I sit and watch the theatrical preview for the first time...
How much could hi-tech bring to this movie while trying to captivate an audience?
We might not have huge robots on the big screen, but the coolest of vehicles and equip. might just be enough...
cross-over film in the future? |

If it relied strictly on original fans of the series the movie wouldn't make enough to pay for one of the actors wages. As with the transformers movie, how many young kids know what the hell they even are? They have to add some sense of appeal for all age groups.
It would be awesome to have an all-star cast and a brilliant story with a great script but I think we all know that is tough to do these days. IMO the movie will be forced to rely on a lot of flashiness. From what we learned they have abandoned the American-based and "real american hero" campaign to the International Brussels based force I am assuming to gain popularity among others who may otherwise may not be interested.
Not saying that I think it is a good thing or bad thing but I really believe that it will be a crash boom bang type of movie with a lot of effects vs some of the great personalities we have loved growing up...time will tell |

I dont know why all the doubts it will turn out good.. Hollywood can basically make a movie out of anything these days & it will come out good.. If this was 10 years ago, I might be doubtful.. but just look at the movies that came out great that are completely fantasy.. X-Men, Spiderman.. & they came out perfect... have faith people.. |
