Like Gary Oldman, he can play just about anything, and play it well. But ultimately, he just has that "look," that, to me, screams: "ZARTAN!"

Most of the actors mentioned on this thread are WAY......TOO.......OLD!! I mean seriously think about some of the actors mentioned and their actual ages! Mickey Rourke is about as refined as a bag or rocks and would be a terrible Zartan!

Alan Rickman has got to be in his late 50's!

Gary Oldman is a higher profile than this role, (if they could get him for C.C. that would rock though!)

A lot of these choices are coming from people imagining that the actor kind of looks like Zartan so therefore, "He'd be a great Zartan"! Unfortunately casting roles "never" happens like that. Looks are only marginally important when it comes to casting. The most important thing is performance and whether or not the actor can "become" the character. I can almost assure you that these guys aren't even on the radar for the casting directors.
