You know what I'd rather see? I'd rather not have an identifiable "Zartan," but rather have a few different actors actually portray him throughout the movie, with different looks, different costumes, even different postures and voices.

Somebody sorta proposed this on a related thread in a "who is Snake Eyes" thing, but I think it'd work even better for Zartan. He's a master of disguise, so why should anybody...especially Cobra Commander...know what he really looks like?

I always thought Zartan would be more more like a (dare I say) Patrick Swayze, Kurt Russel, Val Kilmer kind of feel. Older but distinguished look. I can understand the un-known actor thing or maybe an actor that hasnt had his "big break" yet. Maybe the older brother from prison break or someone in the lines of that. Crispin Glover is a good thought too. JMO.

The first two actors who come to mind for me are Wes Bentley and Garret Dillahunt. None of the poll choices do anything for me.

You know who came to mind...Gary Oldman.

With his versatile acting ability he would put any other actor mentioned to shame.

oh' on a side note can we please stop picking actors in the top ten just becuase they wear stupid clown make up and look like the character but have no acting skill what-so-ever!

Absolutely NONE of the above!!

My candidates=

christopher lambert (highlander)
arnold vosloo (although he'd be a better Destro)
jason flemyng (deep rising)

2 of those 3 have worked with sommers before

I think Gary Oldman would have been the perfect choice... fifteen or twenty years ago.

I would still like to see Gary Oldman as Cobra Commander - especially if they really let him chew up the scenery.

But as Zartan? I just don't see it.
