If we're lucky, the movie won't resemble ANY incarnation of GI Joe in cartoon form, whether ARAH or Sigma Six.

Realistically they will probably cast a bunch of no name actors. Which isn't really a bad thing if you think about it. That way people really believe these are real soldiers.
I can imagine who I'd want but it's not about me. It's all about Paramount and the producers. They get the final decision. I just hope they read the fan sites. It was obvious that when they did the Transformers movie they checked out fan sites but ignored key points. Some of the changes worked and some didn't. I hope they don't ignore certain important items such as costumes and accents. The changes they did to X-Men worked, especially with the costumes but I hope they keep some of the signature elements that make GI Joe...GI Joe. I can't imagine Flint without a beret or Destro without his silver head. Last edited by Griffin73; 10-26-2007 at 04:05 PM.. |

Mark Wahlberg would be a great actor for either Hawk, Duke or Flint. He debunked the rumor a while back but you never know.
Jason Statham would be a perfect Duke, and is in the age range to pull it off with style. I think doing the movie with a mix of older actors and younger ones would be the way to go, though with hasbro and paramount you never know. As for casting, Jenn Garner would make an excellent casting choice, but sadly i doubt she would do it because of being type casted...seriously this could either make or kill her career, depending on how the movie done, so i wouldn't bet on her being in this.. Uma Thurman would make a great Baroness though. |

While the cast certainly can't be full of 40-50 year olds, there has to be SOME experience on the team. I can see there being a rookie or two, but I think most need to be closer to 30 than 20. I think if one or two of the core members (esp Duke and/or Stalker- Wesley Snipes could still do it, though he'll be on trial, sadly) are older, I could find a younger, say, Flint or Roadblock or LJ easier to swallow. But please, please, if God or Hasbro is listening...not James Franco as Flint. Please.
