Heck most of the Joes outfits are basic military uniforms and gear, so there shouldn't be a problem with realizing any of them. Cobra on the other hand is all fantasy costumes.

inspiration? look no further than 25th anniversary v2 snake eyes.
heck, i have about 60% of a snake eyes costume at home right now. black BDU pants, black longsleeve shirt, web belt, dropleg holster, combat boots, gloves, hood/balaclava...
all i need is the visor and a sword. maybe a bandolier,(or tac-vest?) and airsoft UZI?
hmm...
i just got next years halloween costume sorted! thanks guys! hahahaha!
so if i can do it, i'm sure hollywood can pull it off.

I think SE's can work live action with a more subdued visor, but a more skin tight, super hero type uniform. remember, this design will not only have to look good on screen but sell toys as well. |

the merchandising is where the real money is at...did anyone see the speech Kevin Smith gave at a college about his draft of Superman having to have things incorporated into the script for toy purposes?...
don't get me wrong, I'm as excited as any fan for this movie, but believe you me, their not making it because they are big fans, sadly... |

It depends on whether they make him more of a soldier or a ninja. In fact, they could really show him as both. His ninja gear could be more akin to everyday wear stuff, and then he 'gears up' to go into battle. I'd look a little more to the Splinter Cell games for a template of how to do it. Pretty simple design that is streamlined and effecient. |
