Wait and see if it sucks or not...the majority of posters on this site are knocking this flick so hard. It's fine to knock it a little out of doubt. But give it a chance. Seriously.

Finally a post for those of us who are going to (*gasp*) give the movie a chance!
Like I said in the black Neo-Viper thread: Don't judge a book by it's cover. To do so is to show ignorance. |

Where there is internet and fanboys, there will be complaining.
Although I have concerns, I cannot judge a film I have yet to see. I can only comment on what I have seen. Some is good, some worries me. But I will wait for a trailer at least before I give it a thumbs up or down. |

Some worries me too, some I like. But there have been plenty of movies of this caliber that surprise me. So it's all about giving it a chance in my eyes.

I'm quite proud of the fact that I'm positive & optimistic about this film rather than seeing the worst all the time, but I'm quite prepared to do an 'about face' if the turns out to be 'bad'.
Case in point: I was soooo looking forward to the new DR WHO Series. Everything suggested quality about it and I really didn't see anything I didn't like in news and leaks concerning it's production. When I finally saw the series I loathed it and stopped watching after the first year. I changed my mind in fact, and am quite prepared to admit as much. So, seeing people here suggesting that I'm 'deluded', a 'Hasbro lackey' or prepared to 'accept anything thrown at me' is downright insulting. I'm not prepared to 'accept everything' because I haven't seen 'everything' (anything!) in context on the movie screen yet. For example, that snapshot of the NeoViper is lacking in many ways (poor lighting, bland pose) yet my imagination is able to accomodate that and I can see movie lighting and action scenes making it look superb on the screen. Ergo, I accept it as a valid 'movie Viper'. I have 'accepted' plenty of choices made for this film, but the final judgement of it's overall quality and how much it entertains me remains to be made, and that won't happen until I see it.

Oh you, with your logic and open-mindedness and lack of fanboy rage.
I'm totally with you, btw. I have said many times before, and will continue to say, if the movie sucks I will gladly say so and join you in bashing it. But I will NOT bash something I have seen nothing but the occasional photo of. I hope the movie does very well, is watchable and fun, and spawns cool toys.

I really want this movie to be good. It's hard to have any faith when almost everyone who has read the "script" is trashing this thing. Some poeple just wanna bash, but some have valid points.
I was sure that TF would totally suck, and went in with low expectations. I was entertained by it, and it was better than I thought it would be. Did I have issues with it? Oh, yeah. But life goes on. Hope for the best, and try to keep an open mind. I think a lot of questions could be answered with some more cast pics (Destro, CC). A trailer will help too. I will cross my fingers, but I am also a realist. |

You know I have seen a lot of movies that some critic had listed as horrible and walked away really enjoying. I seen movies that are suppose to the next great thing and felt like I lost 2 hours of my life I will never get back.
My point is wait and see for your self and make your own opinion once you have actually seen it for your self and then and only then can you truly say if it was good or bad. Well I have to go now do not want to wastes the tax payer money.
