While I really like Julianne Moore (and I do think she IS a beautiful woman), you can be 100% sure that kind of casting will never take place. Firstly, because of her age - she is in her mid-forties I believe. Second, she's more of an "A" profile type of actress, like someone else has pointed out.
So, yes, I'd go for Jennifer Garner as well. Greg Horn approves. Jessica Biel would be more suitable for Lady Jaye. Butler would be interesting as Destro. However, with our luck, they'll use a black actor just because he "sounds" like a black person. As for Sam Jackson as Stalker: I dunno. The guy is in every fucking movie. Maybe we'll do better without him, for once. Besides, he's getting old as well. And he'll be doing Nick Fury most probably. You won't be thinking of Stalker as the character, you'll be thinking of Stalker as Sam Jackson... or worse: Sam Jackson as Nick Fury. Not good. I always thought Hasbro used Clive Owen as a model for their comic pack Flint "upgrade" (headsculpt) and while I do like the idea, he's also getting old. What about, say.. Thomas Jane? I don't think Ray Park as SE is a bad idea. At least for all the stunts where he's masked. You can get another actor to play the unmasked SE. Like it happens with Spiderman. I keep thinking of Eva Green as the Baroness. Have you seen her in Casino Royale? Anyways... keep in mind this will probably become a series of films. Therefore, like it or not, they'll need relatively young actors for certain parts. Rick Moranis for Cobra Commander

I honestly don't understand why does everybody think Destro is black? His voice in the cartoon was playing off of a fellow Scottsman, Sean Connery! And his back history is that of a wealthy Scottish lord.
BTW, I like how a lot people are going with my ideas on who should be playing who in the movie! Here's my list again, for those who missed it in the beginning. Duke - Aaron Eckhardt Shipwreck - Hugh Jackman Roadblock - Terry Crews Chuckles - Owen Wilson Spirit - Adam Beach Doc - Morris Chestnut Scarlett - Jennifer Garner Lt Falcon - Luke Wilson Baroness - Ali Larter (has to dye her hair black and wear the glasses obviously) Cover Girl - Elizabeth Banks Flint - Josh Brolin Major Bludd - Rufus Sewell Jinx - Lucy Liu Zap - Michael Pena |

BTW, were Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow small in stature (below 5'10", under 175 lbs) or were they of average build?

Hmmmmmm, I guess they can always cast somebody who's short like this Donnie Yen that was mentioned (Fox did cast Hugh Jackman who is almost 6'0" as Wolverine, who was barely 5'0").
Also, I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this movie now. Stephen Sommers directing? They guy who did two mediocre Mummy movies and one major piece of celluloid garbage called Van Helsing? Cross your fingers, cause this seems like it's already being handed to the wrong director. I also heard that instead of GI Joe being American, that it's more of a world organization like the UN. What's the point of calling it GI Joe then? Even the logo was red.......white.......and blue with the stars and stripes. Man, Hollywood is being run by some inept people. I just mentioned Jackman as Wolverine to make a point that sometimes the actor doesn't have to necessarily match the characters physical stature all of the time. Although, I hope they try hard to at least come close with the characters.
