Example, happy meal toys from Mc Donalds, or new can designs from Pepsi. Maybe we will get GI Joe cups at our gas stations or a bag of Doritos that says, help stop cobra from taking over the world, look for a game piece inside. What if any, would you guys like to see?... |

I'm thinking we'll have a lot of stuff for little kids (book bags, sandals, lunch boxes, etc.). IDK about Happy Meal toys though. McDonalds and Burger King don't seem to affect movie sales that much anymore. Or maybe it's just the case that I haven't gotten a happy meal in 10 years. As for the toys themselves... I have three things I want.
One: 3 and 3/4 scale, PLEASE. While I wouldn't mind a Sigma Six scale, just please, no Marvel Legends scale stuff. I hate it when my toys can't go together on my shelf (Spider-Man 3, I am looking at YOU.)
Two: I couldn't care less if they make toys of people not in the movie. That wouldn't be a problem to me at all. Movie Transformers have done a good job of "movie styling" other characters, and mainly, they look good. Or even better, make redecos of figures that match their RAH style (Movie Transformers did this too, with Rescue Ratchet. It was Ratchet's old color scheme.)
Finally: MAKE SURE THE TOYS DON'T CONFLICT WITH THE NEW ANIMATED SHOW. My god, I have waited SO long for the new Animated Transformers. And why? Because of stupid movie Transformers. The release date got pushed back so far because of crappy redecos of guys we don't care about (Jungle Bonecrusher?!?!?!).
That's just me. |

Obviously they will have Snake-Eyes for the kids, but I hope they will have adult-sized costumes (especially the Baroness). The thing I look forward to is how the movie will bring G.I. Joe into a more mainstream light rather than it just be a supposedly "geek" thing. |

We'll probably see many of the same things with the Joe logo on it. I think I may like to see something like the Dark Knight Joker figure I just got in my cereal bowl |

We'll have Joes and Transformers in our face every way we turn. That's what corporate America does. It'll be like it was when the Star Wars prequels came out - or like it is now with Indiana Jones. I got freakin' light up spoons in my cereal, my girlfriend gets toys in the Big Kids Meals, and he's even on my damn Dr. Pepper. That's when I usually get sick of something I really like... As far as Joes go, if the toys turn to suck after the movie, then I'll stop buying, except for customizing. I'm already branching out, looking for other lines I can use to put the Joes I have to work with. Customizing and setting up dioramas is a lot more enjoyable for me than collecting, which I find to be more frustrating than anything else, because it all seems to end up on eBay, for a lot more than what it's worth.
But yeah - Joe will be all over your face next summer. |
