Will it be an ideal translation of what we as long term fans consider "GI JOE"? Almost certainly not.
Will it be an enjoyable movie in it's own right?
I honestly believe it will be, regardless of what's changed.

maybe the movie miughta been tolerable had it not had ANYTHING to do with the world of gi joe, but since they decided to slap the joe name on it it will suck as bad as every resident evil movie. The only decent cast member they have in this thing is christopher eccleston and i doubt hes gonna be enough to save this movie. Sorry i give it three thumbs down.

Just a bit of FYI: It was inferred by Brendan Fraiser in a recent interveiw that he would actually be playing Rock & Roll, the grandson of Rick McConnell from the Mummy movies.

I just hope that we get to see Snake Eyes pissing on John Turturro at some point. I also hope that Cobra takes control of a giant, CGI sand monster!
